MCP tool connectors expose external capabilities to Bud agents through configured gateways. The recommended pattern is to create a reusable gateway once, authorize it if needed, and attach only approved tools to each agent.
Use narrow scopes for sensitive systems. Start with the current project, verify the tool behavior, then expand to more projects or global access only when the connection is ready for reuse.
Reopen the connection from the agent builder, change the selected tools, and click Add to agent again. The attach operation replaces the selected tool set for that gateway on that agent.
Use Remove or Disconnect in the agent connection panel to detach the gateway from a single agent. The shared gateway remains available to other agents and projects.
